Fredyl is a senior artist-teacher with the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA), where he specializes in arts and social practice, particularly theater for development programs. He previously served as Associate Director of the ARTS Zone Project, a theater and cultural advocacy initiative focused on children's rights, and the promotion of positive discipline. This campaign worked to challenge punitive discipline practices that contribute to systemic cycles of violence in Philippine society. In 2019, Fredyl participated in the Global Youth Peace Ambassador training by the Regional Alliance for Fostering Youth in Malé, Maldives. He was also a Fellow of the Singapore International Foundation's Arts for Good program, aimed at fostering a community of practice that leverages arts and culture for social change. He currently teaches research, and arts and cultural studies, as well as directs the annual Brigada Sining (Art Brigade), a cultural community outreach program of the Philippine High School for the Arts. Recently elected as Young IDEA Director on the Executive Committee of the International Drama/Theatre and Education Association (IDEA), he continues to advocate for the transformative power of the arts in education and social development. He is also a current Fellow of East-West Center in Hawai'i, USA under the Leadership Program, Equitable Futures. Fredyl is a Salzburg Global Fellow
