When he joined the network, Fadi Yarak had served as the Director General of Education in the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education since 2007. As the most senior civil servant, he is responsible for ensuring every child in Lebanon has the right to access quality education and he is the principal source of policy and administrative advice for the Ministry. Fadi interacts widely with a range of development partners and is responsible for strategy development and policy implementation. Since 2011, he has led the response to the Syria Crisis, finding places for more than 200,000 displaced children in public schools and establishing alternative access routes for those at risk of dropping out of education. He works with the international community to help Lebanon finance critical humanitarian work. Fadi received a Master of Business Administration from the École Supérieure des Affaires Beirut and a Graduate degree in Management from Université Saint Joseph, Beirut. Fadi is also a member of Salzburg Global Seminar' Whole Child Development for Displaced Learners Network.
