Evan is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Root Change, a pro-equity social change organization dedicated to scaling sustainable solutions to social and economic challenges through innovative products and experiences. The organization creates collaborative spaces where groups can reflect, share, connect, test ideas, and co-create solutions that are owned by participants and customized to local contexts. The approach includes lean experimentation cycles, constituent voice feedback, micro-investments, systems mapping, and peer-to-peer support mechanisms. Prior to founding Root Change, Evan was the Vice President for Capacity Building at Pact, Inc., leading strategic initiatives and developing new technologies for nonprofit enhancement. With 35 years in international development, Evan has worked in over 45 countries, consulting for organizations like the United Nations, the World Bank, and USAID, as well as hundreds of local NGOs. He teaches innovation and strategic partnering.
