Etik Wiyati

Dr. Etik Retno Wiyati, MARS, M.H., currently serves as the Secretary of the Health Development Policy Agency at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia. She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at Universitas Sebelas Maret in Surakarta, Central Java, in 2002. She holds a Master’s degree in Hospital Administration from Universitas Indonesia and a Master’s degree in Law from Universitas Pembangunan Nasional (UPN) "Veteran" Jakarta, and has completed her doctoral studies in Public Health at Universitas Indonesia. Her medical career began in 2002 as a general practitioner at a private clinic in East Jakarta; she subsequently undertook an internship program in West Java in 2004 and practiced at Asta Nugraha Maternity Hospital in 2006. Since joining the Ministry of Health in 2008, she has served within the Directorate General of Health Human Resources, with specific responsibilities regarding the utilization of foreign health workers and health professionals who graduated from overseas institutions. She also possesses experience in coordinating health services for Indonesian Hajj pilgrims in Saudi Arabia in 2017. She is dedicated to policy development through the formulation of evidence-based policies and strategic stakeholder engagement.
