Ern Chern Khor is a doctoral candidate in science and technology policy at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), in Dajeon. With a background in computer science, she bridges technical evidence with social meaning to explore how digital governance serves diverse generations and cultures. Her research spans domains including AI governance, digital inclusion, sustainable development, and aging-society mobility. Within the Forum, Ern Chern looks forward to connecting with peers across government, industry, and civil society to exchange insights on quantifying social impact. She aims to contribute to collective efforts ensuring regional technological progress remains inclusive, sustainable, and grounded in human values. Having navigated international organizations, national research institutes, and engineering labs, Ern Chern examines Asia’s digital landscape—from Southeast Asian platform economies to East Asian AI-based care systems. This perspective is shaped by her journey as a Malaysian Chinese researcher based in the Republic of Korea, working across various Asian contexts.
