Eric Roberts is the Climate Risk and Resilience Senior Manager on The Nature Conservancy’s Global Climate Adaptation team, where he leads TNC’s risk reduction and management portfolio. In collaboration local and national partners, as well as the insurance industry, he advances strategies that integrate nature based solutions into disaster risk reduction and recovery efforts and employ innovative financial mechanisms, such as insurance for nature, to transform how communities manage risk, build resilience, and adapt to climate change. Prior to TNC, Eric mediated public and environmental conflicts in the US and internationally at the Consensus Building Institute, assessed water quality as an environmental scientist in the Southeast US, and advanced agroforestry and soil and water conservation projects as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay. He holds a Master of Science with a focus on conservation ecology, policy and planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management from Indiana University.
