Elisabeth Dyvik is programme director of ICORN. Since 2007, she has been responsible for developing the ICORN protective residency program for persecuted writers and artists and oversees the operational part of the program, including training and external network building. She has particular expertise within visa and migration issues. Elisabeth's background is in the cross section of international affairs, culture and free speech. From 1994-1997, she led the Secretariat for Freedom of Expression in the Municipality of Stavanger. She came from a position as head of newsroom research and archive at the major national Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet. Elisabeth holds an MA in religion and library studies from the University of Bergen (1981-1984), and has further studies in political science, migration and development from the University of Uppsala, as well as peace and conflict transformation at master level from the University of Tromsø, Norway (2004-2006). From 2001-2004 she lived in Brazil.
