Eduardo Vazquez Herrera has 25 years of experience within the private, public and NGO sectors in Mexico with 19 years of practice in the water sector. He is a specialist on public affairs, CSR, communications and institutional relations, and a frequent media spokesperson. He is currently executive director of the Mexico City Water Fund and senior consultant on water risk assessments and strategies for the industrial sector. Previously, he was senior consultant at ZIMAT, a communications and public relations firm; head of governmental relations of Grupo ICA (infrastructure company); executive director at Consejo Consultivo del Agua (NGO with nationwide influence on water); head of legislation at the Bureau of Legal Counsel to the Office of the President (at the federal level), and legal advisor at the Ministry of Public Education and for the Speaker of Mexico City Congress. He also served a stage at the European Commission in Brussels. He holds a law degree from Universidad Iberoamericana; a Diploma on public management from CIDE and the University of Colorado at Denver; a diploma on corporate social responsibility from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and a master of science in comparative politics from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He also majored from LEAD International Programme on sustainability (XIII cohort) and the International Programme on sustainability diplomacy (Sustainable Challenge Foundation, IPMS, XIX cohort).
