Dietrich Remmert is a Research Associate at the Institute for Public Policy Research in Namibia. He is a development professional with over 19 years of experience. Dietrich brings with himself unique perspectives having held positions in government and civils society; he has worked for various IGOs and donor agencies including UNICEF, CDC, GIZ and the World Bank. With an extensive background in project management, Dietrich has worked on and led many healthcare, communication and democracy programmes. Over the last 10 years he has led research undertakings focused on public policy analysis and governance issues in Namibia and the Region. He has published issues around housing, water management, fiscal transparency, energy and climate change. Dietrich holds a M.A. in Peace Research and International Politics from University Tübingen, Germany.
