Daniel Szelényi is managing director, Schloss Leopoldskron and leads strategic preservation, development, sustainability, design, curation, and exhibitions, as well as special cultural projects at Schloss Leopoldskron, Salzburg Global's iconic historic home. In his role, he also oversees Salzburg Global's efforts to foster creative, just, and sustainable change and build earth-conscious practices at every level. Daniel previously managed and oversaw all of Salzburg Global's hospitality operations as general manager, Schloss Leopoldskron and later vice president, hospitality. He comes from an international background of luxury hotels and was involved in the opening of some of the most iconic luxury hotels throughout Europe. Prior to joining Salzburg Global in 2013, Daniel was based in London where he acted as vice president and global head of hotels for the world's largest independent luxury hotel reviewer for three years. Daniel graduated with distinction from the International Management Center in Krems, Austria, where he obtained a master's degree in tourism management.
