Dabesaki Mac-Ikemenjima

Managing Partner, Sity Senta, Nigeria

Dabesaki Mac-Ikemenjima currently serves as a managing partner for Sity Senta, a consultancy firm which specializes in youth policy research, strategy development, educational advisory, and training services. He is a multidisciplinary researcher and cultural practitioner whose work interrogates how people navigate everyday life across African cities. His practice explores how people create order and meaning in spaces often dismissed as chaotic or ordinary. Dabesaki combines his cultural interests with his work in international development and philanthropy research. Working across photography, experimental media, and documentary film, he engages in informal systems of organization, symbolic culture, and the intimacies of daily life, building on his academic and programmatic work on youth, aspirations, quality of life, and civic participation. Dabesaki’s interest in cultural artefacts extends to the discourse on restitution, where, as a senior program officer at the Ford Foundation, he previously supported institutions preserving returned artefacts and strengthening public engagement with museums.
