Cyrus Golding is an academic at King's College London and co-founded the first programme for teacher education in Geography there in 2020. With a background at the intersection of academic geography and education, his published research has focused on 'Education in the Anthropocene' which requires reimagining education for the demands of the changing planet and biodiversity crisis. His work blends over a decade of experience as a school leader in the UK and Asia with academic thought-leadership. In 2024, he developed a new methodology for schools to account for their carbon emissions though the involvement of the school community and in 2025 he started a new global educational consultancy focused on radically reimagining sustainability in education. Cyrus holds a PhD, MSc and BA in Geography each from the University of Oxford and a post-graduate certificate in education from the University of Cambridge.
