Director, Global Economy and Finance Program,
Creon leads the Global Economy and Finance Programme at Chatham House, where he focuses on global economic policy issues including climate change, sovereign debt, global health financing, and the evolving international economic architecture. He joined Chatham House from the UK Cabinet Office, where he served as Director for International Economic Affairs in the National Security Secretariat and G7/G20 'sous sherpa,' advising the Prime Minister on a broad range of global issues such as climate change, natural resource security, and global health threats. Creon first joined the Cabinet Office in 2013 as Director in the European and Global Issues Secretariat, where he advised on international economic developments and designed the UK's Global Anti-Corruption Summit in 2016. Earlier in his career, he held senior positions at the Bank of England, HM Treasury, and the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, including as Director for Economic Policy and Chief Economic Adviser. From 2006 to 2009, he served as Deputy High Commissioner in New Delhi. Creon is a Fellow of Salzburg Global.
