Constantin-Alexandru Manda is a Romanian activist for educational justice and good governance in education. At the moment, he is the programs coordinator at the Romanian Academic Society and Vice-President of Group of European Youth for Change (GEYC). Founding member and former president (2015-2018) of the first school students' association in Romania, Alexandru has eight years of experience as an activist for free access to quality education. During the pandemic, he coordinated a national advocacy campaign for the respect of the school students' fundamental right to scholarships by all the 3182 local authorities in Romania, which obtained approximately 130 million EUR in the national budget for assuring the respect of the right to scholarships. Also, through Clean schools (project coordinated by Alexandru), the financing of local education increased by 30 million EUR in 5 counties from Romania. In 2021, Alexandru Manda received the award Young European of the Year for his entire activity until now. He is a senior year law student (L.LB) at the University of Bucharest.
