Claudio Visco
President, International Bar Association; Senior Partner, Lipani Legal & Tax
Claudio Visco has served as President of the International Bar Association since January 2026. He is the Senior Partner at Lipani Legal & Tax in Rome and has been a member of the Rome Bar since 1983. Claudio's legal practice spans corporate and commercial, banking and finance, insurance regulation, litigation and arbitration. His IBA presidency has coincided with mounting threats to the rule of law, judicial independence, and the legal profession worldwide, and he has made it a priority to strengthen the IBA's engagement with international organisations and bar associations in defence of these core values.
