President
Chougher Maria Doughramajian is the president of Voices of Young Refugees in Europe (VYRE) and a program assistant at Pink Armenia. She has extensive experience as a youth worker, utilizing non-formal education to provide life-long learning opportunities and ultimately empower marginalized youth in their journey to become global citizens. Chougher Maria co-authored the publication of two Good Practice Guidelines focused on access to education and advocacy, mapping out inclusive initiatives supporting young refugees through the Together, Moving Forward program organized by the European Students' Union. Chougher Maria is a peacebuilder and an advocate for refugee rights and youth empowerment, working to raise common concerns and strengthen capacities, in order to contribute to more inclusive societies in Europe, The Middle East and beyond. She is currently pursuing a M.Phil. degree in Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation at Trinity College Dublin and holds graduate and postgraduate qualifications from the American University of Armenia and, most recently, the University of Toronto, in Communications, Human Rights and Genocide Studies.
