Cath Prisk is a passionate advocate for children outdoors - at home, in the community, and in schools. Cath has been a teacher, a campaigner and a change-program leader. She set up Outdoor People in 2014 to make it easy to get outdoors for everyone, especially children and families. She was the global director for Outdoor Classroom Day 2014 - 2020, growing the campaign from 100k children in 9 countries to over 10 million in 177 countries. In 2020 Outdoor People took on the OPAL Primary Programme franchise, supporting schools to make playtimes brilliant. This is transformational work. Cath also hosts the OPAL conferences held termly (available on YouTube). Outdoor People has a Community Camping shop in Hackney - all profits from both the OPAL work and the shop support our programs taking families on walks and camping. Cath's master of arts was in research methods. She has PGCE (Primary) from Northern College, Aberdeen and bachelor of arts(Hons) in Indonesian studies and anthropology from SOAS, University of London. She is also a yoga teacher.
