Carolina is a curious transdisciplinary educator, facilitator and grass-roots designer, and researcher, with a deep belief in the power of hands-on, collective learning and action. Drawing from life experiences including the global ‘North’ and ‘South’ hemispheres, she leads the work on Schools & Education theme at Doughnut Economics Action Lab (DEAL) by co-creating with students, life-long learners, educators, curriculum designers and educational institutions an influential dynamic network of transformative educational practice that contributes to the global-wider movement of regenerative change. This includes the design of learning experiences, tools and resources, but also education pedagogy, systems and processes, that help this community to rethink the way they work together; to ask different questions, explore problems and open up, sometimes just sit with or scale up when appropriate, fluid novel possibilities in complex environments. Inspiring them to be proactive about their futures and feel empowered to make a difference.
