Caitlin Coote is a journalist and graduate student at the University of Miami, blending her academic background in cultural anthropology with a passion for storytelling. After earning a bachelor's degree from the University of Florida in 2020, she decided to move abroad and teach English at a non-profit in Medellin, Colombia. Inspired by her experiences abroad, she returned to academia and joined the University of Miami in 2023 to further her studies in journalism. Her diverse experiences have shaped her perspective, informing her work as a multimedia journalist.
