Wellness and Digital Activism Coordinator
Bianca Van Rooi is a Black queer feminist organizer, storyteller, and indigenous knowledge keeper committed to re-indigenizing activism through a feminist ethic of care, intergenerational solidarity, and radical transformation. At her core, she organizes with love and creativity, ensuring that activism is not only about struggle but also about joy, care, and honoring ancestral legacies. As a community organizer at Triangle Project, Bianca developed a digital activism platform that amplifies underrepresented voices and strengthens grassroots organizing. She is also the co-founder of The Queer Food Growing Collective, which supports LGBTQI+ food growers, and Sisterhood and Survival, a Black feminist education reading group. Bianca serves in an advisory role for the Rainbow Archives Narrative Project, documenting Black lesbian histories in South Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Women's and Gender Studies and Psychology, grounding her activism in both critical theory and lived experience.
