Beth Walker

Senior Policy A, E3G, United Kingdom

Beth Walker leads E3G's work on the geopolitics of energy and the transition of fossil fuel producing economies, focusing on how these countries can move away from dependence on oil and gas revenue towards a more resilient economic base. She works with NGOs, international organizations and academia to build strong diplomatic coalitions driving a fast and just energy transition. Before joining E3G, Beth worked in the UK government, leading strategy for international trade negotiations. Before that, she spent almost ten years at The Third Pole (part of China Dialogue, now Dialogue Earth), building a diplomatic coalition of NGOs, think tanks, government officials and journalists to strengthen cooperation on water, energy and climate between China and its Asian neighbors. She holds an MSc from LSE and a BA in Chinese Studies from Oxford.
