Bernadette Teeley

Bernadette Teeley is Chair of the English Department of the Lawrenceville School, an independent secondary school for boarding and day students in New Jersey, USA, where she also leads a dormitory of 45 teenage girls. She has worked in parochial and public high schools and coached NCAA athletics. Bernadette is interested in rethinking the secondary-school curricula to better serve the socio-emotional and intellectual development of teens and the goals and needs of their communities. She participates in ongoing discussions with students, families and faculty regarding curricula and institutional responsibility. She received her B.A. from the University of Dayton, M.A. from the University of Michigan, and additional training from the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Education.
