Isabel Barros is a researcher at the Children and Nature Program of Instituto Alana, in Brazil. She joined the organization in 2015 after giving birth to two children and became very interested in how a nature-rich childhood is at risk in urban settings. Her tasks at the program are related to health and protected areas management and conservation. She has previously worked extensively with outdoor education programs and protected area management in Brazil. She received a bachelor of arts from São Paulo University in 2003.
