Professor of Practice
Bart is an analyst, author and advisor on strategic foresight, communications, strategy formulation, international development, trade, and Asia's economic transformation. He is a Distinguished Fellow at the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada and professor of international development at McGill University. During a two-decade career at the Asian Development Bank, he led teams responsible for policy development, knowledge management and operational guidance on governance, the social sectors, IT for development and social protection. He guided the development of the bank's landmark Public Communications Policy, explored the impact of climate change on migration, and managed partnerships with a range of stakeholders. He has also worked as a senior communications specialist at the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, media entrepreneur and economic correspondent in Central Europe, and government negotiator on foreign trade and investment policies. Bart is the author of Learning from Tomorrow: Using Strategic Foresight to Prepare for the Next Big Disruption. Bart is a Fellow of Salzburg Global.
