Bahia Ramos serves as vice president, arts at The Wallace Foundation in New York City, a position she has held since 2018. She leads the arts unit and the interdisciplinary arts strategy team, which comprises representatives from the foundation program, research, and communications units. Bahia also oversees the Advancing Well-Being in the Arts Initiative, a $107-million effort to support arts leaders and help philanthropies learn how to better support arts organizations rooted in communities of color. She serves on the boards of the Prospect Park Alliance, 651Arts, and ArtTable. Before arriving at The Wallace Foundation, Bahia served as program director of the arts for the Knight Foundation, where she led the organization’s strategy for a $35 million annual investment in arts funding across the country. Bahia received her undergraduate degree in history from Williams College, and a master’s in public administration from Baruch College’s Marxe School of Public and International Affairs, where she was a member of the Pi Alpha Alpha Honors Society and a National Urban Fellow.
