Ashwin Bhagavatula is the Founder and CEO of RISCO, a Singapore-headquartered enterprise with operations in the Philippines and India, focused on strengthening disaster risk reduction(DRR) of vulnerable communities through innovative financial mechanisms. His work spans parametric insurance, nature-based solutions, and inclusive financing models that support coastal restoration and livelihoods. He has experience managing country and regional-level P&L and strategy for both new ventures and established companies. Ashwin has successfully led high-growth insurtech and fintech operations across Asia and Africa. His work has been recognized in the G20 Nature-Based Solutions Toolkit, featured by the Earthshot Prize, GIZ, and a BCG–World Economic Forum publication on unlocking climate adaptation opportunities. Ashwin holds an MBA from HEC Paris and a B.Tech from NIT Jamshedpur.
