Ashutosh Kumar is a project lead at IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation, in Chennai, where he works at the intersection of public policy, technology, and social innovation. He currently leads initiatives focused on rural healthcare transformation, Panchayat-led cultural and economic development, and youth skilling, collaborating closely with government ministries, academia, and industry partners. Trained in public policy and management and mechanical engineering, Ashutosh brings an interdisciplinary, people-centric approach to governance, capacity building, and systems-level change. Previously, Ashutosh served as a Mahatma Gandhi national fellow with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, contributing to district-level skill planning, inclusive livelihood programs, and inter-departmental coordination in Tamil Nadu. He has also worked with IIT Madras Research Park on innovation and startup ecosystem development.
