Arkar Hein is a program specialist at the United States Institute of Peace, where he supports local governance initiatives within Myanmar's pro-democracy movement. Previously, Arkar worked with the Renaissance Institute, a leading policy think-tank in Myanmar, and served as a consultant for the World Bank. Passionate about translating broad policies into tangible outcomes, he is committed to empowering those on the front lines to build and maintain democratic resilience amidst significant challenges. Arkar holds a Master's in Public Policy from Oxford University and a B.A. in Political Science from Northwestern University.
