Ariana Vath is the course manager at the Tourism School Salzburg – Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management (ITH). She has dedicated her career to promoting education, intercultural exchange, and capacity building. Ariana oversees the academic and operational coordination of ITH’s one-year diploma programme, a long-standing development initiative funded by the Austrian Development Agency. The diploma program provides training in hospitality and toursim management. For 60 years, it has supported young professionals from around the world and contributed to capacity building and sustainable development in their home countries. In addition to its broad global reach, ITH maintains close partnerships with schools in Gambia, Uganda, Bhutan, and Bali, with new collaborations emerging in Zanzibar, Ethiopia, and Tanzania. Ariana holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Business and Intercultural Studies. Her professional experience includes student recruitment, international mobility, and roles in various tourism organisations, as well as global project leadership in Indonesia (Banyuwangi), where she contributed to the establishment of a vocational tourism school.
