Anna Simmonds is a former program intern at Salzburg Global Seminar. During university, Anna was an active member of the student community, organizing the 2023 English Society Ball and co-creating a podcast about feminist utopian narratives, exploring alternative visions of the future that challenge societal norms. Anna's professional and academic journey is shaped by her passion for art, music, and culture as tools for community-building and reimagining a more interconnected and equitable future. She has also worked as a music journalist for a local magazine in East Sussex and held various hospitality roles to fund her travels around South-East Asia. Anna holds a Bachelor's degree in English with American Studies from the University of Manchester, where her studies focused on the cultural significance of music releases and publications in 1960s America. This work was driven by her interest in the intersection of music and politics, particularly during this transformative era.
