Angelina Mensah

Angelina Mensah serves as Lead Coordinator and Negotiator for the Just Transition Work Programme Within the African Group of Negotiators at the UNFCCC, where she leads regional negotiations to champion Africa's socio-economic priorities in global climate. In this capacity, she also serves as Advisor to the Chair of the AGN, providing strategic counsel on multilateral negotiations, alliance-building, and high-level policy positioning across the full span of UNFCCC agenda items. At the national level, she has been mandated by the Government of Ghana, through the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA), to serve as Lead Negotiator on Response Measures and Just Transition. Her technical contributions extend to the Katowice Committee of Experts, where she has served as Co-Chair. She serves as Board Chair of Implementers (a Ghana-based CSO), and as a Board Member of the Women Environmental Programme in Nigeria, where she contributes to regional sustainability initiatives, gender-inclusive environmental policy, and grassroots advocacy across West Africa.
