Amy joined the UK national charity Living Streets as the Local Engagement Coordinator in March 2022, building on her experience leading projects including Our Voice, Our Streets which explored gender marginalised young people's perceptions of parks and green spaces. She is an elected representative as a Councillor for Woodside Ward in Croydon and took office in May 2022. Amy is the Chair of the General Purposes Committee and a member of the Homes, Streets and Environment Scrutiny Sub-Committee. Previously, she worked as teacher and spent over a decade working in schools and communities across London as a champion for mentally and physically healthy communities. Her area of specialist interest is healthy streets and child-friendly communities. Her voluntary sector-experience includes board level experience at the London Cycling Campaign where she contributed to the charity's healthy school streets programme and on the steering group of the Historic England High Street Action Zone project for South Norwood.
