Allen S. Weiner is Senior Lecturer in Law at Stanford Law School. His international legal scholarship and teaching focus primarily on the fields of international security and international conflict resolution. He also studies the challenges of online misinformation and disinformation. Weiner's scholarship is deeply informed by experience; before joining the Stanford faculty, he practiced international law in the U.S. State Department, in Washington, DC, and at the U.S. Embassy in The Hague, for more than a decade advising government policymakers, negotiating international agreements, and representing the United States in litigation before international courts tribunals. At Stanford Law School, Weiner serves as director of the Stanford Program in International and Comparative Law; the Stanford Humanitarian Program; and the Stanford Center on International Conflict and Negotiation. He earned his J.D. degree at Stanford Law School and his A.B. degree at Harvard College.
