Allan Au
Knight Fellow, Stanford University, USA; Professional Consultant of the School of Journalism and Communication, the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR
Allan Au is a media veteran and a Knight Fellow of Stanford University. He is currently a professional consultant of the school of journalism and communication at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He worked as a news documentary producer and the host of News Magazine in Hong Kong TVB News. His research focuses on the phenomenon of self-censorship and tacit censorship through newsroom routines. Allen is the author of five books (in Chinese) including Tidepools, Umbrella Union and Twenty Shades of Freedom.
