Alistair Chase

Alistair Chase is the Director of Development at MTV Staying Alive Foundation (MTV-SAF) – a UK, US and South African non-profit, working to change lives through storytelling. We are best known for the MTV Shuga campaign. Built around a multi-award-winning TV drama series, MTV Shuga has reached millions of young people across sub-Saharan Africa, with behaviour change media proven to drive critical social and health outcomes, including increased HIV testing and reductions in STIs. At MTV-SAF, Alistair is responsible for relationships with external organisations, including researchers, service providers, and institutional funders. Alistair has been working with MTV-SAF for 10 years and comes from a background in charities, fundraising and international development.
