Alice Ciulla is a postdoctoral researcher in the History of the United States at Roma Tre University (Rome, Italy). She teaches European and Transatlantic History at American University of Rome and IES Abroad Rome. She has been a DAAD Visiting Fellow at the JFK Institute of Berlin (2018), an 'Antonio Gramsci' Post-Doc Fellow (2019), and a 'Romeyne Robert and Uguccione Sorbello' Fellow (2024). Her research focuses on U.S.-European and Italian diplomatic and cultural relations in the twentieth century, Cold War studies, and migration history. Her work has appeared in Italian and international academic journals including the Journal of Transatlantic Studies, Global Environment, RSAJournal, Contemporanea, and Italia Contemporanea. She is the author of La cultura americana e il PCI: intellettuali ed esperti di fronte alla questione comunista, 1964-1981 (Carocci, 2021), and is currently working on a new book project examining U.S.-Italian relations during the interwar period.
