Afthon Lubbi is a researcher at the Center for the Study of Religion and Culture (CSRC) of UIN Jakarta, in the field of religion and culture. He worked at Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor Ponorogo for four years, at Pondok Pesantren Al-Basyariyah Bandung for two years, at Pondok Pesantren Darunnajah for five years, and currently teaching at Pesantren Almanar Azhari Depok. His last certification was to participate in the International Humanitarian Law training organized by the ICRC (International Committee for Red Cross) in September 2022. He has also been a researcher and writer of a book for the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia on the evaluation of the socialization of the Four Pillars of Indonesia and the writer of some books on issues of extremism, radicalism, and terrorism published by the CSRC. Afthon has a Bachelor's degree in Communication Science.
