Adeola is director of Public Health in Newham, where she leads on Health Equity, Prevention and Health Improvement for adults. Adeola is an author of the ART framework and the Newham Health Equity toolkit, simple, powerful tools that help services identify and address unequal uptake and outcomes from their services without othering. Since 2023, Adeola has chaired with the ADPH London Tackling Racism in Public Health programme network to build skill and understanding of the benefits of pro-active antiracism practice. Since 2024 Adeola has co-chaired the Million Healthy Hearts and Minds Community Engagement Workstream. This ambitious five-year programme led by Prof Kevin Fenton and NHS London is working to improve heart disease outcomes across London. We are bringing together academic, business, NHS, community and voluntary sector partners to define and deliver effective initiatives to improve heart disease outcomes, notably for African, Caribbean, Asian and ethnically minoritised communities.
