Dr Bousso is an expert-consultant in public health emergency management and international health regulation. He's the former Director of the Senegal Public Health Emergency Operation Center (PHEOC), for 7 years. Dr Bousso was the incident manager for the COVID-19 outbreak in Senegal. He's degree in medicine, orthopedic and trauma surgery, disaster management, political science, management, and finance. As an international consultant (WHO, Africa CDC, RTSL…), he has supported countries (Mauritania, Niger, Mali, Togo, Central Republic Africa, Gambia, Syria, Djibouti, Sudan, Lebanon, Tunisia…) to set up or operationalize their PHEOC. Dr Bousso is also a humanitarian, member of MSF, as such he was in different operations theaters. He occupied senior positions in his country as technical adviser to the Minister of Health, vice-president of the Senegalese medical council and secretary-general of the Senegalese physician's union. He was decorated as knight in the national order of merit and knight in the national order of the lion of the Republic of Senegal.
