Salzburg Global launches a comprehensive digital report to reflect on five successful years of the Japan-India Transformative Technology Network
Since 2020, the Japan-India Transformative Technology Network has connected and empowered outstanding changemakers in two countries at the forefront of technological progress in Asia – India and Japan. The five-year program generated catalytic and scalable impact by applying technological innovation to products, processes, policymaking, organizational practices, and financing.
The cross-sector network of Fellows comprises four cohorts: The first began in 2020, the second in 2022, the third in 2023, and the fourth in 2024. Since joining the Network, Fellows have worked in small teams to design projects that use technology to address one of three social challenge areas: Accessibility, Mobility, and Inclusion; Health Systems; and Living and Livable Communities.
Through online and in-person convenings in Salzburg, India, and Japan, selected Fellows have designed technological solutions to tackle the challenges of improving health and healthcare, expanding social inclusion, and enriching life in urban and rural communities. By focusing on innovative applications of technologies across these interconnected areas related to human and planetary health, this program has leveraged interdisciplinary and cross-sector collaboration to spur new solutions and encourage partnerships.
This five-year report is a cumulation of the ongoing collaboration and projects that have emerged as a result of this program. It includes details of collaborative projects, Fellows’ opinions and testimonials, and insights about using technology for social good.
