"Creating Futures: Art and AI for Tomorrow’s Narratives" digital publication includes perspectives and resources on AI's role in creative expression
AI is here, and it's profoundly influencing our lives. Whether you are a supporter of AI integration or a skeptic, it is essential to understand that AI technologies are not only tools for innovation but also powerful forces shaping our cultural landscape. We all have a crucial role to play in ensuring that AI engagement is responsible.
During the Salzburg Global program on "Creating Futures: Art and AI for Tomorrow’s Narratives", held in May 2024, Fellows explored the intersections of art, culture, and AI. The program brought together 50 artists, technologists, futurists, curators, activists, policymakers, and academics from 25 countries.
Our digital publication includes a variety of readings and resources that emerged from discussions at the program. It delves into the complexities of AI, offering diverse perspectives on its utility and development and providing actionable insights for ethical engagement and responsible innovation across sectors.
Among articles showcasing the work and perspectives of various Fellows, the publication includes the Salzburg Statement on Artists Shaping Ethical AI Futures and the following three resources that were created by Fellows:
- Intercultural AI Creative Starter Pack
- AI Literacy Curriculum
- The Charter for AI Ethics
