Our work to change the conversation starts with the Meierhof.
For many who come to Salzburg Global and Schloss Leopoldskron, their time begins and ends in the Meierhof building. It is the first introduction to our work and welcomes all who visit our grounds. Beyond that, the Meierhof is an important element of Salzburg Global’s lifeblood, funneling revenue into our programmatic work and, in turn, helping make our mission a reality. It is a hub for our Fellows, a home for our guests, and the quiet engine behind our boldest ideas.
But the Meierhof today, from our guest spaces to staff offices, needs an upgrade. Our facilities are beginning to show wear, and we are unable to provide our Fellows with an experience that reflects our global mission. We need to invest in its future through a renovation that will transform the building into one that manifests our work to change the conversation. The Meierhof Campaign is our vehicle to do just that.
This campaign is a $6 million investment in the future of the organization, a project to revitalize this essential building and expand our potential for growth. We’re thrilled to announce that we are at 75% of our goal following the quiet phase of the campaign – representing a total of $4.5 million pledged to support renovations across the Meierhof.
Lead gifts have already demonstrated the promise of the campaign, creating the new Meierhof Bar, González Lounge, and Mundheim Family Garden. With additional commitments and support from our board of directors, we have begun planning additional priority projects, including complete guest room renovations and air conditioning installation to begin in early 2026.
