As an integral part of the Development Team, you will conduct background research on institutions and potential partners, draft program-related concept notes, proposals, and reports, and provide administrative support for Salzburg Global's programs.
The Development Intern works across Salzburg Global's teams, offices, and levels to help develop programs and identify new fundraising opportunities and prospective partnerships.
Interns will also be expected to support the Development Team's administrative functions. They must thus be willing to contribute to day-to-day operational tasks and capable of using computers and IT effectively.
Typical Duties Include:
- Conducting research for the Development Team regarding potential institutional and individual donors, summarizing findings, and making recommendations regarding follow-up
- Supporting the Program Team in organizing, implementing, and documenting Salzburg Global programs
- Using the organization's Raiser's Edge database to gather historical information regarding individual and institutional partners
- Drafting program-related concept notes and assisting in the development of proposals and reports to partners and institutional supporters
- Reviewing and editing concept papers and grant proposals for clarity
- Writing briefings to prepare executives for external meetings and calls
- Coordinating the development and submission of annual endowment reports to institutional partners
