Overview

"Narrative Kitchen" leverages the universal appeal of food to connect urban and rural communities in Japan and India, fostering social inclusion and understanding through culinary storytelling. This technology-enabled distributed living lab aims to encourage people from diverse backgrounds to share their stories, traditions, and experiences, thereby promoting empathy and unity. By highlighting marginalized voices and converting them into powerful agents of change, the project aspires to influence social policy and create a more inclusive society. Through creative, art, and design-led processes, including dialogue-based activities and gamified participative reflections, "Narrative Kitchen" seeks to redefine community engagement. The anticipated outcomes include enhanced social cohesion, mutual respect, and a platform for unheard and unseen narratives to be shared and celebrated, ultimately driving social equity and participation.
