Yves Doutriaux has been a member of the Conseil d’Etat since 2007, having previously served as ambassador to the Organization for Cooperation and Security in Europe in Vienna. He also lectures as a professor at the Université Paris 1 as well as the Université Paris-Dauphine. Ambassador Doutriaux served as deputy ambassador to the United Nations in New York, and as consul general of France in Toronto, Canada. He is a Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur and Chevalier du Mérite. He is also the author of several books, including Diplomacy, Motor of State Relations and Traité sur l’Union européenne. He graduated from the Ecole Nationale d’Administration and the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris. He is a Fellow of Session 469, “What Turkey? What Europe?” in 2010.
