Yulia Mishkova is a Senior Project Management Specialist at Teach For Bulgaria, currently focusing on large-scale civic education initiatives. Her current work is built on her extensive experience managing key educational projects, including those focused on media literacy, voting importance, universal human values, and climate education (in partnership with the Office for Climate Education/OCE). She leads the new project, “Civic Leadership, Activity, and Cooperation” (involving four Bulgarian NGOs and one Swiss partner), aiming to integrate civic competencies across the curriculum. Previously, Yulia managed the induction teacher training for the "New Way to Teach" program for five years, supporting educators in developing key competencies. A graduate of the two-year teaching program (2013-2015), Yulia taught history in Sofia for three years. She holds degrees in History of Southeast Europe and Cultural Anthropology from Sofia University. Yulia believes education is the most meaningful investment for societal development and a powerful tool for fostering critical thinking and civic engagement.
