Xochitl (Sochil) is a master of business administration candidate with a concentration in entrepreneurship and innovation at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. She received her bachelor of education from U of M Ann Arbor in 2016 with 6-12 teacher certification in comprehensive social studies (history, economics, geography and political science) and Spanish. While in the School of Education, she was particularly interested in studying the intersections between disciplinary literacies in school from literacies they encounter outside of school and ways in which youth draw from their community and school cultures to enact their identities. She received her master of arts in education from Eastern Michigan University in December 2018. Currently she serves as an economic and cultural strategist for the Aadoozikan. The creative works of the ADZKN help produce stories & media solutions, for the many dynamic layers of communities, organizations, businesses, and people.
