Wifredo "Wifi" Fernandez is public policy manager at Twitter, where he focuses on Federal and State advocacy. He is also an investment scout for Lightspeed Venture Partners. He previously served as a Legal Fellow at the Cyber Civil Rights Initiative and interned for the Honorable Robert N. Scola, Jr. of the U.S. Federal District Court. Prior to law school, he was the Co-Founder and CEO of The LAB Miami, a startup hub, and on the founding teams of entrepreneurship centers at Miami Dade College, where he taught student life skills, and Florida International University, where he taught innovation in the Honors College. He started his career as a Teach For America corps member in Washington, D.C., where he taught five different grade levels of math, social studies, and Spanish. He recently received a Juris Doctor with honors from the University of Miami School of Law, holds a master of arts in teaching from American University, and a bachelor of arts in political science from the University of Pennsylvania.
