Wessel van Rensburg is a founder of a company devoted to social media, called RAAK, along with his business partner, Gerrie Smits. Some of their most recent projects have included work for the award-winning public relations company COW PR and also a website for the European Union which used social media technologies to provide information about EU elections. A freelance consultant since 2008, Mr. van Rensburg has worked for a variety of clients including a community of architects and spatial designers, Ketchum PR, the mobile entertainment company, Buongiorno, and the World Economic Forum. Before his consultancy work, he also worked for Rhythm New Media, Lycos Europe, and the Institute for Public Policy Research amongst others.
