Vikas Thapar is active in private equity and investment banking in emerging markets. He has extensive experience in structuring and leading investments in industry, infrastructure, energy, mining, financial sector, consumer products, health care etc. Vikas also has experience setting up and managing private equity funds. Previously with the World Bank group, he was responsible for advising governments and industry on privatization policies, capital markets reforms, corporate restructurings and M&A transactions. Vikas is a member of the board of several financial institutions and PE funds. He is a former member of the Board of Salzburg Global Seminar. Vikas hold a B.Eng, MBA ( McGill University, Canada) and advanced management programs from Harvard Business School and John F Kennedy School of Government Harvard University, USA.
